The hotel is perfectly situated, within striking distance of the Lake District, coast, and Dales, offering a peaceful base to explore various areas. The rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds, though the powerful shower's design with a bath can be inconvenient. The location is ideal for a tranquil retreat while being conveniently close to main attractions. The dining experience offers a good variety of food but may lack top-tier service. The facilities provided enhance the overall stay, making it a value-for-money option.

The hotel is nestled in a serene semi-rural setting, offering peaceful surroundings ideal for exploring the Lancashire/Cheshire/Merseyside area. The rooms are comfortable with essential amenities, but the lack of air conditioning can make warm nights challenging. The location is a major highlight, with easy access to stunning natural attractions, and occasional social functions add to the charm. The dining experience is delightful, especially with cooked-to-order breakfast options. The overall value for money is excellent, making it a great choice for visitors wanting a relaxing stay with convenient access to local attractions.

My stay at the hotel was a bit mixed. The location was ideal for the venue I was attending, very peaceful, and convenient for exploring various motorways. However, the dining experience was a bit chaotic at times. Overall, a decent spot to relax and enjoy some wine or ale at a fair price.

Rooms

I found the rooms above the smoking zone to be uncomfortably warm, causing my son to get ill. It would be great if they could update the rooms with newer styles and plug sockets near the beds.

The location was fantastic for exploring the north west and being close to major motorways. The hotel's proximity to the Leeds Liverpool Canal was a definite highlight.
Dining

While the breakfast options were a bit lacking on the first morning, they improved the next day. The staff seemed overwhelmed during peak times.
Facilities

The hotel offers basic facilities, and the availability of a nearby leisure center was a nice bonus. However, the dining area could get chaotic during busy periods.

The hotel is set in a lovely countryside location along the Lancashire canal, offering a peaceful stay ideal for exploring the North West of England. The rooms had comfortable beds, but the lack of adequate cooling made my son unwell during our visit. The dining experience was enjoyable with a good selection of food, although some aspects could be improved.

Location

Dining

Facilities

The facilities were decent, but nothing extraordinary stood out during my stay.
